Yard Cleanup

Yard cleanup is the reset search — spring's version clearing what winter left (matted leaves, downed limbs, the salt-and-plow evidence at the road edge) and fall's version preparing for what comes (leaf mass down, beds cut back, the property buttoned before snow). Both are real work with real windows, and both reward being scheduled rather than dreaded.

The difference between cleanup and cosmetics is thoroughness: beds actually cleared rather than skimmed, leaf mass removed rather than redistributed, limbs and debris hauled rather than piled, and the edges — fence lines, foundations, that strip behind the shed — included rather than ignored. A proper cleanup makes the following season's maintenance easy; a cosmetic one postpones it.

Name the season, the property's size, and the honest state — one year's accumulation or several. Photos of the worst areas set expectations correctly. Timing matters at both ends of the calendar: spring slots fill as the snow goes, and fall's window closes when it arrives, so requests placed early in each season land best. If limbs or storm debris are part of the load, say so — hauling scope changes the visit.
